moderator approval???

Is the a new member thing? Do I have to have a certain amount of post before I'm able to post without you censoring (approving)what I write. I live in Oregon and usually don't log online until after 8:00 p.m. and have some time to sit in front of a computer screen and do some Internet research. So if the moderator is already in bed or just didn't feel like logging on, I'm not able to here any responses to my question or statements until I get approval. This is the first site I've ever had this happen. This really turns me off this site and makes me log onto a site where I can receive useful info in a timely manner without the OK from someones personal view on whats I should say or ask.

All mods at FTE are pretty fair with their decisions, idk this must be new (maybe with our software update on monday) as this was not an issue when i joined...

you can look for greener pastures but you will not find another ford truck site better than right here...

sorry i can't completely answere your question but i'm sure someone with more knowledge will be along soon to fully answer your question...

Hey there. Welcome to FTE. I can tell you that this is not something us moderators have a control over... this is software based. There must have been certain terms used, that the FTE filters caught. An admin will have to peruse your post, and send it in here after that. That is one of the ways that we combat spammers (not saying you are.. but its the truth).

Yep, the site software automatically flags certain words and word combinations. This is a heavily utilized site and I've seen some of the issues the folks that run it must deal with. Trust me, this is nothing personal nor is it any kind of assumption that there is any wrong-doing. It's simply a check on newer members to ensure the quality of the site and that the integrity and spirit of sharing information are not compromised. Hang around a bit and you will see that this is an early formality. I don't honestly know how new this is because I seem to recall having a similar experience when I started out here several years ago. I think I'm on post 5000+ now... the folks here are worth sticking around to listen and swap ideas.
