cat question
1. is it legal to gut your cats?
2. if i do gut the cats, will it pass the emissions test?
3. if i gut both cats, will the truck still run o.k.?
4. i will put a flowmaster 40 series on if i do the other stuff.

cat question
1. No, but it will pass the visual inspection.
2. No.
3. Yes, as long as you don't have a O2 sensor after the cat.(It would be on a newer truck...'97 or newer - I think, but am not sure)If you do have an O2 sensor after the cat, you would have problems with the computer and the truck would run rich.
4. Flowmaster 40s sound good on a V8 Ford.
