How do you make your own bumper? I will be excited to see your ride at TS and chat with you.
Find a stock XL series bumper (argent gray, all metal...no lower plastic cover).
Buy some PIAA 520s.
Find some pipe that the PIAA 520s fit in.
Cut said pipe at proper angle to match bumper.
Cut said XL bumper to fit said pipe.
Weld said pipe into said bumper
Grind and smooth all welds
Weld mounting tab on said pipe to bolt said lights.
Undercoat the inside of said bumper
Prep and Paint the outside.
Wire up lights.
Finished product=one custom bumper.
I also reshaped the lower corners for better tire clearance.....cut and then rewelded the lip back in to make it look factory.
I added the lightbar & lights, but this is the grill that Nyx came with:

I just changed over about 2 weeks to this:
<a href="http://s678.photobucket.com/albums/vv148/papadelogan/Nyx/?action=view¤t=blackgrill1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv148/papadelogan/Nyx/blackgrill1.jpg" border="0" alt="New black grill"></a>
I'm looking for a bumper like what DC used, but with the plastic is fine by me. I'll be getting it painted black as well (rear bumper should be done by this weekend) and then will likely cutout the center of the black grill and put the slats in there.
Mine is just a cheapo that I bought off of fleabay. I have been meaning to change it to a different kind, but I have been doing so many other mods that I just havn't got around to it.
It's a bit heavy and it makes people scared to be next to you in traffic, but it does let people know when I want to come out of a parking lot, I mean business.
