Hello Guys
Picked up a real deal the other day. A 1977 302 from an old mercury car and it came with a tranny. I think its a C6 but i want a second opinion.
The number is PKA AG 17, 076062. Also, how would i be able to tell if it had AOD?
Thanks
Stu
in 77 a c-4 maybe an fmx ? small block c-6's ... hah i've had one that i seen came out of a van with a 351 w , that i think was one ,and i havent laid eyes on another .
I have a small block C6 in my '79 Bronco. They're out there, but I agree that it was likely a truck or van that had them....and even then likely in the earlier 80's. I about spit up my pop with that 3rd post, lol.
Thank you guys. Really appreciate your help. If a car was ordered with a tow package, would it of come with a C6? Something I heard the other day, is all.
Stu
welcome there stu no. 2 ! naw on the c-6 in with a tow package , kinda unlikely from what my foggy memory can recollect . vans and trucks is the only place ive seen or heard of the sb version . yep havi , bad part is for some reason it reminds me of somebody here , the pic that is , just can't put my finger on it yet though .............

PKA-AG = 1981 Ford LTD/Mercury Grand Marquis AOD.
AOD = 14 transmission pan bolt holes / C6 = 17 transmission pan bolt holes.
