Trailing arm bracket help!
Truck was low in the rear when I acquired it. So I put the extra leaf and added 2' of block. It sits fairly level now. Didnt think the 33" swampers would fit, but stuffed them in there any how.
Plenty of clearence at full turns, have had it off road several times and tires dont have a scratch on them. The frt lift is an unknown quantity. It doesnt have frt drop brkts or aftermarket items I can see. Since it sucked up the huge rear lift, sits level now, and has dual frt shocks, I am thinking it has a factory plow package on it. That combined with a v8 to straight six engine conversion last year, its sitting proud now.
Life should be heaven since it is one bad *** truck, and nope, I'm not missing nothing...doesnt need 44" tires or 1 tons, I played that game for years with CJs and F250s. All it got me was a lot of tickets, unwanted attention, and deep holes in my pockets. I am very content with my little sleeper, there is not much where I live that will stop it.

My problem is my truck is now pulling a little to the right and I do think I know why. Last summer, I noticed the bracket where the passenger side frt trailing arm attaches to the frame had a crack in it. Fairly sizable one. Took the old stick welder out and closed up the gap.
At the time the truck rode true and did so for quite some time. Well last time off road, I believe I bent the bracket enough to cause a pull. Most likely f**d up the heattreat when I welded it.

Anyone know where I can get a bracket? I went to some of the kit sites and they want $100+ for a single brkt. Thats my yearly off road budget with the kids to feed. To top it off, they are selling offset or lift brackets. I just want a plain old stock frame bracket that matches my driver side brkt.
Maybe you still have one laying around when you put your stomper lift kit on?? I would pay $20 or so plus shipping for a decent one...
Thanks Ed 1/20/09
And they're called "radius arm" brackets, fyi.....
Went to the Rock site and typed in radius arm brkt. Got a hit. Was nice because they had a picture of the part. No confusion if I was buying the right brackt.
I went ahead and bought both sides even though my drivers is OK, I also bought the bushing kits. I work the truck hard and I'm sure it will pay off.
Brackets were $33 each (with bolts...sweet)
Bushing kits $12 ea
Shipping $15
Total around $107
At least now I will have some peace of mind and will get some life out of the swampers. Right now its parked until this is fixed. Missing out on some serious northern drifts...
