'98 Ranger 4 cyl w/ manual tranny, blew fuel pump fuse, repaced it and now heater & radio won't work, parking brake light comes on until you touch the brake pedal (lift foot and it comes back on), ABS light comes on & can't turn wipers off without pulling fuse.
Easy one!, While replacing the fuel pump fuse you inadvertently pulled on the fuse block and several items lost contact or remain disconnected on the back of the fuse panel. I had the same thing happen on a 88 T-bird, after changing fuses, several acces. did not function, it seems that the harness attached to the back of the fuse block had lost contact on a few acess.. After pushing on the harness on the backside of the fuse block, I heard a snap and the acces. all came back to life!.....Hope this helps.
Try disconnecting battery, then reconnect and see if it corrects itself..None of the above shares a common fuse, except for the GEM system-all have separate fuses or relays..
Old93,
Was the fuse block inside the engine compartment or under the dash? This one is in the eng comp and I don't see any way to get to the backside of the block.

You know, my memory tells me it was the one under the dash. But in that model the fuse block was hinged and dropped down to access, giving easy access to the back of the fuse block. Yours is probably different but I thought the same principle might apply. (note: in some older Rangers I have actually seen the fuse block plastic crack)...A real PITA!
