another won't start thread
i own three ford idi 's
87-6.9 dully
90 7.3 extnda
93-7.3 extenda
87 won't start ,93 won't start in nj. just snowed yesterday they'r nice lawn orniments
when they run,they are great ,when they don't !!!!
i spend more time under the hood
don't have a garage.damm it's cold
the 87 last ran three weeks ago ,had to pull 6000lb boatup a 300 ft hill on my property for winter storage, put her in 4whl and pulled it up like it was't even there! got out to un hitch the boat truck died there she sits
my guss is air
checked the shut off seldiod, even took it out bench tested it,put it back in wrong i think, when i tried to start it,she reved almost full bore(that can't be good)

Welcome to FTE and the IDI diesel forum.
Installing the fuel shut off solenoid incorrectly will cause the engine to run away as soon as it is started.
No govenor, no way to shut the fuel off.
How did you get it stopped?
The air is probably from the return lines.
Air in the return lines lets the fuel drain back to the tank.
No fuel, no start, no run.
