HI i have a 92 f150 v8 302 104000 miles and i got it about 5 months ago and i knew the exaust was prolly factory all rusted and now its basicly hanging there and the hangers for it have rusted off and it has a hole in it about a foot from the end ! my question is im just goning to get the same exaust thats on there now but what can i do it when i get it back from the shop to get some sound out of it! i hear about tips tips tips and i see them at pep boys but i dont know what to do with them?? get the right size slip it on or what?? any thing would be helpful! thanks

 

If you want sound you are gonna have to get a different louder muffler. A glass pack or a flowmaster or something. The glasspack will be louder. A 92 with two cats inline sounds very nice without the muffler.(not to loud not to quiet, not annoying). I would just relace the system the way you want it but put a piece of straight pipe in place of the muffler. I think that you will be very dissapointed with a muffler of any type (because the cats make it so quiet). I hope this helps.
