gears

im trying to figure out what gears i have wondering how you figure that out. isnt it something with the bolts.

What rpm are you running at 70mph in OD.

I have 33s and 3.73 gears and I run a tad under 2k rpm at 70mph. You'll be running right at 2k rpm @ 70mph with stock tires also if you have 3.73s.

On my truck there was a steel tag held on with one of the diff cover bolts that had 3.73 on it.

If you have a 4X4 it will be on the driver side of the front axle. On the rear axle FORD normally places a metal tag on the back of the rear end where the differental cover is.
