Did you "check" the "Remember Me" box when you logged in?

Yes, and I have cookies enabled. (MMMMM.. COOKIES) I had this problem last year and it ended up being some security issue with my firewall or some sort of security problem. I can't recall what the fix was. Damned old age...

I got logged out for the software upgrade. I wonder if everyone else did. I normally just stay logged in so I couldn't remember my password when I tried to get back on - had to change it.

Yeah, with all the different security programs out there, most of them don't mesh well (the companies deliberately put programing in to prevent you from downloading the other products - I know Norton does) So, maybe the software upgrade this time had added security features that your security suite won't digest.

Who Knows - IT, it's a sorry world!

I just had the same problem. It logged me out. Who remembers passwords. This seems to happen about once a year. As soon as I logged on, a medium size box flashed on, then off. I caught the word "redirect" as it flashed by??? I only have about thirty user/passwords Half the time I can't locate where I wrote them, who ever they are said old age/retirement is wonderful. It's not good when you can't remember s--t. (CRS). Gee, I found the password, lucky guess. chuck

I am having the same problem. Have to log in on every visit to the page. Really has me mad as H..L. When I log in and click the remember me box it is no different than when I don't click the box. What good is that? I just paid my money to be a FTE supporter for another year. I wonder if that was a wise use of my money?

What your browser is doing is storing an old cookie.
Do the following if you can!
  1. Log out
  2. In your browser go to "Tools" then "Options"
  3. There should be an option to delete all cookies - do this.
  4. Log into FTE with the "remember me" tickbox selected.
  5. Should be fine!

That is a separate concern, the e-mail is working, there will most likely be 1 of 2 things causing it:
  1. You have changed your options in your user cp not to receive emails
  2. Your e-mail is blocking us as spam

If you can check both of those, and if you still are having problems, PM me

As part of the upgrade we have to log everyone out, the site does have the ability to reset your password via your e-mail if you forget it though

If you do log in with your wrong password, it comes up with an option to e-mail you a password reminder, and provides you with the option to reset it

If you can follow the steps outlined for the first gentleman, it would be good.

Let us know if you have any problems!

Hi Adrian,

Now that we have you here, I am also noticing that the search function is not "Forum Specific" any longer.

IOW if I go to the top of this forum, and click "Search this Forum" and enter (for example) "Steering Wheel Removal" it lists the threads not just from the 48 -60 Forum, but from ALL the forums - 2008, general, etc. It didn't do that before.

Are you guys gonna fix this...It's going to kill me to do searches and have to filter through ALL the forums posts to find the applicable link I am looking for.

Thanks,
Julie

Thanks Morris - not a problem..... I just was wondering if they were aware of it (after 1000 people writing them messages telling them)

You know how much I use that to refer folks, I can't imagine having to filter through ALL the forums posts....

Thanks again & Best wishes,
Julie

There should be an option to delete all cookies - do this.
Log into FTE with the "remember me" tickbox selected.

Ok - so let me get this straight.
You logged out, deleted your cookies, logged back in with the "remember me" box ticked, and it still logs you out?
