Will this work for Sway Bar bushing removal?

I have my sway bar out from under the truck, but I still can't get the bushings out of the drop hangars. I have tried burning and beating already with no luck. Will this work? AutoZone.com | In Our Stores | Loan-A-Tool Program

Thats what I used for mine. Just make sure you have a nice vice to put the press into. It took some muscle but they do come out with that!

Edit...
I used a 13/16 socket to make sure the press wouldnt bottom out so to speak. It would get to the point where I turned it as much as possible. Without that socket it wouldnt have popped out!

If you know of a shop in your area that has a press, and wouldn't charge you an arm and a leg to get those pressed out, it would save you so much time. I helped jdecker88 replace his last spring, and we finally took his to a shop I knew that had a press after struggling to get them out and they were all out in like 10 min. That's what I would do anyhow.

I think I'm just gonna take it to a shop with a press. I just got off the phone with autozone, and it is $143.31 to rent that ball joint press. That's a little steep if you ask me.

That would be a wise decision IMO. You will have it done in no time at all once you get those suckers pressed out. I know that since i've done the job once, that will be the route I go if/when I have to replace mine.

It took me longer get them off the truck and to install them back on truck than it did to press them out!
