better replacement for t18?
I like my T18, but it is not very efficient on the highway where I do most my driving. I would like to swap out for an auto, but I dont wanna lose my 205. What works?

What engine is in the truck? An AOD might be a good replacement if you have a small bellhousing pattern. A better choice might be to buy a fuel-efficient commuter car.

Some form of sbf will be replacing the 300. Probably another 300. Perhaps an EFI setup if thats not too hard. Whats involved in an AOD conversion? Isnt that run by a compy?

The AOD isn't computer controlled, so it will work fine with a carb or with EFI. They are also plentiful in junkyards, and can be built very strong to handle lots of power.
