Hopefully he wont stay away just over some unfriendly gestures. Plenty of good folk on here, and lets face it. You gotta be thick skinned to hang out with some of the crew here LOL.. But on the upside, they more often than not keep your *** in line It's a trade off HAHA

I should have blown off the brake BS this weekend and headed out to Pomona, would have been 10 times better than getting upset over finding the parts were wrong for the job. LOL.... Hopefully whatever arrives Wed will be correct hahha

PS you dont have a good set of front hubs and drums in the pile do you ?

Sorry no good front hubs or drums at this time but the eyes are open.
After finally getting registered at the swap meet, I stopped at a yard just to take a look see. Spotted a 66 250 with mustang buckets and frame work seemed to be secure. I won't get to it until Wednesday, hopefully it's all there when I return. I almost blew off the swap meet just to get this truck. I kinda made a promise to be there so I went. Maybe a once in a lifetime find but with any luck it will still be there.

Biting another part last weekend....

<a href="http://s368.photobucket.com/albums/oo125/Garbz85306/?action=view&current=P1170427.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i368.photobucket.com/albums/oo125/Garbz85306/th_P1170427.jpg" border="0" alt="Rear Axle" ></a>

Could not make it to Pamona but trying real hard to get to the poker run on the 31st.

Bob are you looking for 65 up hubs or 64 down hubs?

64' & down is my guess. This is my first 64 and it's a bit different from any setup I've seen/owned before suspension and otherwise. Frankly the straight axle with a leaf spring scares the **** out of me for anything other than a work turd. Thats gotta be harry stuff in any kind of a turn banked or not at speed. I'm picturing a serious drunken dog walk issue ? Imagination ? But yeah the spindle on the pass side shows some kind of ding or maybe a weldup, and the race was loose in the hub(spun freely) I'm guessing a later model hub from any Ford with a 15" 5 on 4.5 will not work as a replacement ? What are my options ? Kinda sucks as I just bought new rubber lines, wheel cylinders and hard line/master cylinder to get this project back on tract(in use as a work truck for a few years more).

Bob, i have a set of drums and hubs from my 66 f100 parts truck, 2 of the studs on one hub are stripped, they can be pressed out and new pressed in, easy fix....

PM me if you want them

I'm confused by Garbz's post "would they fit"? Sure wish Bill or someone with a database(intellectual/artificial) would chime in on that for insurance. Feb 13-15 is 1/2 price at the local yards so I might get luck on them. But if yours would fit that would be a resolution for sure. Oddly IMO the race seat is worn but the bearing seem fine. When this same scenario happened to my boat trailer(no turning radius etc..) the ("new" temp)bearings/races wore in short order. On this F100 only the hub shows any wear. Bearings and races look like new.. puzzling to me.

I'm gonna guess that they are different. If Garbz was asking.... it's for a reason.

I have a good set of spare 61 to 64 spindles. I will not be using these as i put a Dakota under my truck. Bill will only confuse the issue with part numbers. The F100 and F250 share the same spindle for 61 through 64. You are more than welcome to them. I dropped the axle out of my 63 for Bobbyford and put new bushings and fitted the pins to the spindles.

I do not have 65 spindles which differ from 66 up spindles.

Sent a PM and an email through the site. No word back yet. I'm interested in the spindles and wondered if you had hubs to go with. The (pass)hub "I believe is the real issue". Although the (pass)spindle may be partnered in the mayhem ?? Driver side hub does show signs of similar issues but minor in comparison. Shoot me a heads up on it when you get a chance.
