Keith, Don't know what engine you have now or are planning to use when the swapping is done. Da big dummy will splatter you butt with parts numbers, but if you are moving parts from one truck to another you wont use any of them. The pump didn't change so if the hi pressure hose will reach, you should be OK. The return line is much less critical for fit.
The power steering column is about 2 1/3rd in. shorter than the non-power, and that applies to all. The difference is the ps gear has the fluid controls top front and that requires the column to be shorter. The 3 on the tree column will work, find a floor shift cuff for behind the steering wheel and don't worry about the shifting rods in the engine bay.
You can use the column out of a later truck but the wiring is different. The length may also be a little different. The gearbox from the 79 should fit.
