I put true duals a while back but i replaced the headpipes and when i put the oxygen sensor back on i put it on the right side, before it had a little h pipe and the sensor was rigyt in the little h pipe between the two exhaust pipes . would this cause the check engine light to come on. My check engine comes on when ever i drive over about 60 mph could that be why or is it some thing else. Thanks for any help.
Yeah, that could be the problem, and if so, it will make the engine run very rich. The oxy sensor has to be in that lil h-pipe.
Primary rig is:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Sunroof, and some 32" BFG Muds .
Pictures are in!!
Then theres:
99' Mustang GT 4.6L
88' F-250 Superduty 4x4 351/c6
95' Mercury Cougar 4.6L V-8
80' E-350 300/6 with a
3 spd column shifter. Top speed is 65mph, Go Baby Go!
I just had true duals put on my 89 Bronco 302 and had the O2 bung placed between the two pipes as close to the original position as possible. I haven't had any problems.
