From reading the owners manual, it says to change out the transmission fluid in my 04' F150 4.6L. I plan on just dropping the pan changing out the filter and replacing the necessary fluid.

Those that have done this already? Any suggestions? Anyone know how many quarts of tranny fluid was needed?

I'm thinking about going with Mobil 1 Mercon V Tranny Fluid. Anyone have a suggestion as to what type of fluid to use other than motorcraft from the dealer?

Here is a subject that we had not too long ago. It should help you on some good ways to do it. i personally bring it to ford but there are guys in that one that do it them selfs. good luck
