96 explorer rear wiper solved
Recently, my rear wiper was not working, it would only clear part of the window, i replaced the blade and today noticed that the wiper arm was wiggling out of the socket/hole from the hatch. We pulled the interior plastic off the inside of the hatch, and immediately saw that the entire motor assembly was wobbly. There are 3 main bolts securing the motor assembly to the vehicle, 1 was loose, and 2 were completely missing the nuts. We got the motor secured and reassembled the hatch and tried it out, we had to bend the wiper arm in a little bit and it works perfectly now. give that a try if thats how your wiper was behaving

Great post...thanks for sharing. I have a 96 Explorer and will be going out to check mine now. Even if the wiper is working okay seems like a good idea to give it a look over just in case.
