Charging system problem 94 f150

Finally good news to report:
Thanks for your help, FINALLY GOT IT ..... I checked the alternator again (off the car, again they said OK - different shop), checked grounds (ok), then went to instrument panel - I narrowed problem between ignition area which routed up to charging gauge then back down thru firewall - my problem was between those areas. So, when checked instrument panel (first time) voltage same going in (red wire green stripe - larger) and coming out - green wire/red stripe. So, problem was in an approx 2 ft section - ran a new wire - now charging at 14.5 volts !!!!!!!!!!! I am one happy camper now. Now I just need to fix a rusted thru brake line and then a broken rear spring mount and then the 4 wheel drive and .........
