I had a set of fog lights on the truck. well still there. but i had it plugged into the headlights well after a couple fuses and a chat with you guys i decided to switch them over to its own circuit. so i have a wire connected to the lights runs to the middle peice in the switch. both lights are grounded.. than a ground from the switch.. and the power cord with a fuse on it.. so i tested them and got nothing! i checked all the connections and their good.. what can it be?
So you tied the fog light into your parking lights?
If so, are you running a relay as well, or how exactly is it set up?
The way you are describing it sounds confusing.
To properly do it you'll need a 4 prong (or 5, but you'll ignore post 87A) relay.
Post 30 will go to your battery's positive post (red)
87 to the Positive on the fog lights
86 Ground
and 85 to one terminal of a switch, where as the other will go to ignition or batt power.
Sounds like the way you have it set up, all the power draw is suppose to come from the parking lights, which won't have enough current to power (where as the headlight would).
