Do you hear the fuel pump when you first turn the key? Is the battery completely dead? If you do hear the fuel pump when the key is turned to the on position and assuming the battery is ok, turn the key to the on position and then under the hood take a large screw driver and cross the battery post on the fender well solenoid to the starter post on same soleniod. Before doing this make sure you have the tranny in park if automatic and neutral if manual (you will have to bypass the neutral safety switch near the top of the clutch pedal under the dash) and the wheels chocked/emergency brake applied! This will at the very least get the engine to turn over and if it is just a bad ignition switch the engine should start, although I'm not sure there may be some wires going to the ECM that are switch on/off by the igntion switch also.
thanks try all them the ign swith it will lock and then when u turn it its free then just stops i think they broke the ign swith i just need to know the wiring which ones start it i have alot of mech exp. i just hate elec. and plus it has one of those chips where u cant start it unless its in it u know..
and i got to looking that little box that sits on the end of the rod when you turn the engition its gone but the wire clip is there i called my uncle and his son said they took it off for another truck i said thanks i towed it about 150 miles to find that out? but i guess im going to the parts store or junk yard
