My cousin called over here and said he has a fuel leak, but just to make sure before I order him some O-rings for the fuel bowl drain valve to check. He says it is comming down out of his drain tube and also down the front of the block, he was talking about having a sensor replaced a few months ago when it was over at the ford dealership having a UVCH replaced that had something to do with fuel I don't know the sensor he is talking about but its by the drain tube.
I know its a little spotty but I don't have the time to come over and look at it right now. He also said it stops when the truck gets warm any ideas?
if it was leaking on the front of the block driver side..id say the 1/4" feel line going to the head..what ever sensor they changed for the injectors would be behind the pump some place..so if it leaked..it would go in the valley and out the back of the block..only other thing i could think of would be the lid on the bowl is leaking and the spraying into the power stroke cover then down the front of the block....or one of the 2 lines at the base of the fuel bowl spraying out to the front of the block...when my 1/4" line leaked..it would only leak when cold..when the oring warms and swells it tightens up and stoped leaking...if that is the case..the fan would blow that fuel onto his tube and make him think that is leaking to...corse thats not saying it isnt leaking...tell him when its cold..take the power stroke cover off and sit up there while some one turns the key without starting it for him
My vote is for the filter cover gasket. If they removed the fuel lines to replace the "sensor", maybe the sleeve............. Like Ron said, you really need to look at it with the Powerstroke cover off.
We are going to dive into it and look tomorrow and see if we can't see where the leak is comming from with the PSD cover off. He says it comes down by the sensor and it comes out the tube on the side of the block. It just recently popped up in the cold he had the UVCH and the sensor replaced about three months ago.
