I already gutted my cat, put on a 40 Flowmaster, and have two 2 1/4" daul pipes coming straight out the back. A buddy of mine is going to install two 20" long 3 1/2" tips, cut at a 45 deg. angle. Will this be a lower sound?? Either way, I am getting them put on, i am just curious?? After this I am done, I think? Please tell me your thoughts. This exhaust refuses to get loud for me. I don't wanna cut the flowmaster off, cause it's new, and I already gutted a new cat. I'm going MAD!!
There are two cats on that truck i believe so the other one is muffling your sound too. The 3.5" tips wont make it much louder but make it sound deeper.
