some times it races and back fires and seems to run out of gas i timed it and lubed
the linkage and it stopped the racing but the backfire still continues do you guys
think it might be the spark plugs i have never mest with the screws on the carb or maybe the ignition modual

i timed it up yesterday the the 16th but i havent tuned it up in a wile i think i replace the plugs ant ill see what happens its backfireing through the exsouhst in the book it says backfir is sudden exsplsion in the manifold that couses the backfire so would new wires and plugs help i really dont wont to tear in to this truck i need it for work it has abought 30,000 miles since last tune up
Don't buy new plugs and wires if yours are fine. With only 30,000 miles on them, there's probably nothing wrong with them. I'm still guessing exhaust leak.
