"Check Engine" only when cold???
I can't figure what my truck wants. It's been pretty cold here low teens and 20s, of course not like some of you in the northwest, I start truck, it warms up, all good , start driving CE comes on and stays on till I get to work. Then no light rest of day. Again this afternoon after sitting till cold warms up fine, start to drive, light goes on. 95 F150 I6 basically runs great, I even had it at Ford for a little work 2 weeks ago and they said, aside from my obvious issues with a 250,000mi truck, good to go. Any thoughts welcome.

my 94 does something like that. I pulled codes and got a "throttle position signal voltage too low" code. I never get it in the summer only when it is warming up from fairly cold weather say 10degrees on down.
I will replace my position sensor soon and see if it goes away.
Still you should pull the codes from your truck as yours might be something totally different. my problem just sounds similar.

Thanks folks, as soon as it gets a little warmer I will check the codes, I guess I have to use the counting method because AutoZone can only read OBII and this is a 95, supposedly OBI???? I don't know, this is not my thing but I'll figure it out. I actually think the oil pump may be slowing down too because it knocks a small bit at first then it's fine, OK thanks again.
