Hello everybody,
I just picked up a 97 F250 XLT extended cab 4x4 with the 7.3 motor and I have a tire question.
I want to put these tires on TOYO Open Country MT LT315 75R16 127Q E10 @ Tire Deals 4 Less
and I am wondering if they will fit it without rubbing.
I don't intend to use it off-road very seriously at all but i like the look of the tire and particularly the size.
I went to the local OK tire shop today and they cannot tell me if the tires will fit without rubbing or not, they have to mount them to check and if they don't there is a 5% re-stocking fee
Very happy with my purchase, the truck is in very good shape, a one owner truck with only 104 000 kliometers and all service records from new.
Manual locking hubs, manual transfer case and 5 speed box. The interior is mint, as he was a non smoker no pet kinda guy.
The guy took very good care of it.
I pick it up on Monday after he gets the emissions tested.
I was thinking the 315 was a 35" tire, if they are you may want to check what gear ratio you have, 3.73 or 4.10 will be fine but if you have 3.55 its going to suck from stoplights or hauling/towing something especially with a 5 speed and the speedo will be way off I also think you will have front fender interference. Just my $.02

yup a 315 is a 35...or at least they call it that......all tires usually run smaller than the size
Thanks Guys, Yeah the 315 measures 34.5 inches according to the above tire site.
I'm not so much looking for height but rather width and I feel the 10.5 inch wide tires look kinda narrow.
Have to look around a bit more I guess
Before you go looking for wider tire's, what width rim are you using? Assuming you have no lift take a look at 285/75R-16 on a 8" wide rim.
Not sure what you mean by take a look at the 285 on the 8" rim?
I do also have a Toyota Hilux running 33 12.5 inch BFG muds on a 7 inch rim and I really like the look of that, The tire looks like a big doughnut on the rim
