1988 Electrical problem, I think!
1988 F-250 has been sitting for a year and a half. Would not start, dash elec. gauge pegged to the left. Replaced the battery, started and ran very rough, popping and snapping. Checked alt. brushes gone, replaced with new. Installed alt. no change, took alt to shop for bench test, output was good. Reinstalled, no change, checked and cleaned connection on alt and solenoid, checked fusible link and looked at fuses. No change, starts, runs rough will not accelerate, pops and snaps.
