Iv'e noticed recently that I have to depress the brake pedal pretty hard on my 82' F250 for the brake lights to come on. I cant figure out how to adjust the sensitivity. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone knows where I can acquire some good wiring diagrams, that would be greatly appreciated as well.
If it's the same switch I have (very common on numerous fords) then there is no adjustment. The switch fits over the pivot pin on the brake pedal and relies on the slop between the pin/bush to activate the brake light just before the brakes are activated. Pretty cheap and very easy to replace.
