Hi all. My name is Don living in frigid NE Ohio. I am not a ford owner yet, but have been looking and researching F150 to pull my travel trailer. I am a life long gm guy and have always had good luck with them. Part of that luck thing is I take care of my trucks, keep up on maintenace etc. Looking at fords cause the 150 is rated to pull my camper, with the right setup. Gm 1/2 ton doesn't even come close. Can't go 3/4 ton due to cost and I drive the vehicle 100 miles a day just for work. I have found a lot of useful info here so I can be better eductaed about my decision. Thanks to those who have shared info.
I am now an offical Ford owner. Just bought a 2006 F150 CC with 5.4 and 3.73's, 139" wb and factory tow package. I have always had chevy work trucks with no frills. I am not sure how to act with all the extras in this thing. My wife drove it home (standard trans in in chevy) She sure was smiling.
