I was replacing the drain control on the water seperator because it had started leaking. After I finished to started the truck to check the leak. When I reached down to feel underneath the drain switch my arm laid on a part with I think 4 wires on it. This part is just to the left of the drain switch. The lug that the largest wire is connected to was hot enough that I couldn't touch it for more than 1 second or so. Anyone know what that part is and why it might be hot on the lug so quick?

I believe it is your GPR ( Glow Pug Relay). It should have been energized while startinging the truck. As to whether or not it should be hot to the touch, I am not certain about that.
It will get hot if the the contact isn't good inside, you may have a GPR about to go bad. It generates heat when there is high resistance connection on the inside, or like rbaker stated from a loose connection at the terminal. HTH's Lee
Just before mine went for a crap.... it used to get smokin hot !!! Like it would melt the rubber cover on the terminal !!!! If the GPR is what's getting hot I wouldn't wait to long to replace it because its almost gone !!!
