glasspacks

ive heard some people talk about how a glasspack will get louder when you "blow the glass out" or somthin like that... can someone explain this to me?

well, the "glass" part of glasspack means fiberglass, which is what they are packed with, hence the name. When they've been on the truck enough, the glass will eventually start to burn from the heat, and since it is the glass the quiets the engine noise, the get alot louder.
