Adding Cruise Control
I'll soon be getting a tilt steering column w/cruise control. My question is, what are all the components that I'll be needing to add cruise to my truck as it wasn't built with it. I've got the 300 I-6 if there is anything particularly unique to it.

I kinda thought about doing this once but bailed on the idea, too much work. The
speedometer cable goes from the tranny/xfer case to a device under the hood that
measures speed. That device in turn has another cable that goes through the firewall to the
speedometer in the dash. Also, you'll have the vacuum-operated device & related linkages
that connect to the throttle Dunno about all the wiring & electrical devices that make it work
but I know it needs to be wired to the brake switch.

I'm in, been thinkinng for a while now. I would like to add it to my Supercab but I also have to deal with the manual trans as well. I have only seen one 4-speed with cruise and it was a diesel. Hopfully there are some members here that did the install and could offer some info.

I have a Sears aftermarket unit installed on my truck, but I removed it. I never use cruise and it removed some clutter under the hood. If anyone is interested in it I would probably let it go for $25 shipped. Includes the original instructional manual.
