I have an 84 f150 2wd used to be a 300 i6 with 4 speed. guy before me put in a 302 with a c6 and left the clutch assembly in it.
I have a cobra spec t-5 no bellhousing no clutch but have the flywheel and fork.
Will the c6 bellhousing fit onto the t-5?
how hard would it be and what would i need to make the t-5 bolt up to the 302 as i drive the interstate almost everyday and the c6 just isnt cutting it.
The C6 bellhousing does not come off. If you do any pulling with this truck the T 5 is a very bad idea as it is not strong enough to handle being in a truck. Look at the ZF post and that is the way to go. They will tell you excately what you need to get and how to do it.
I dont tow any thing with this truck, just the occasional run to home depot and lowes. most i have ever carried in this truck is about 600 lbs. i just use it for a daily driver. I use my friends f250 for towing.
I have always been told to stay away from the T 5 in a truck but its up to you. You will need a bellhousing for small block ford as well as the new clutch and accessories. New pedals, new master cylinder for the clutch. Possibly some other things that havent popped into my head right now.
You may also need a spacer as the input shaft is too long for that bell you have. T5s are easy to swap parts on, thus the S10 tailshaft housing is no big deal. With a 3.35 first gear and the steel bearing retainer, a T5 would be fine for what you are doing.
