Pipe benders
HEy i was wondereing if anyone knows where i can get a pipe bender to put in my garage. I only want it to do exhaust work for myself and for my buddies. I would like one like monroe and other exhaust shops have but i cant afford them. I was wonering if mabie someone knew where i could get a hydraulic handpowered one for a couple hundred or so. I know that northern tool has a pipe bender but they are made more for pipe and not tubing, and they dont come with exhaust size dies. Just wondering if any company makes a bender for the do it yur selfer

I know this an old post, but I was just at the dentist's office and saw an ad in Motor Trend magazine. The company was called Shop Outfitters, and the ad showed a manual pipe bender. Their website is www.shopoutfitters.com.
I haven't been there yet, but it sounds like they might have what you're looking for.

Pipe benders
It looks just like one of the classic Hossfeld benders. They work well on heavier gauges, but thin muffler tubing just crumples and buckles. At least that was my experience. Sometimes it's just easier to find a good muffler shop and let them do it.
I suppose you could sneak into the shop and watch them do the bending and quick read the name of the manufacturer, but those hydraulic systems are likely very expen$ive.
