headers first?
I just bought a 1976 F-250 4*4. It has dual exhaust already but starting to rust out. I want to put a new muffler and pipes on before headers. If I do this and then later on buy the headers, will it all match up?

headers first?
No. The headers usually exit farther down in the engine compartment than the manifolds. You'd have to take it back to the shop to have the pipes attatched to the headers. No biggie really. You may have clearence issues with the old pipes however. Just saw them off aways back.
