Boo Supersprings

So I had the truck outfitters install some Supersprings in November. I hauled a 5K trailer 1600 km with the last 200 km rough gravel road. The Super springs did what they were supposed to. However on the 08 F150's the supersprings do not fit at all! Firstly the SS shackles made contact with the OE leaf spring clips, which I did not like. The rollers were set where the springs overlap and as a result wore down substantially, not cool. The most frustrating of all was that the supersprings shackles made contact with the truck frame in the front and wore into the frame a bit. So I called Supersprings toll free help line, during the call reception was poor and some australian dude told me I could move the springs back 4 inches behind the leaf spring clips. They don't even have Fords in Austrailia!! I am certain I was talking to someone actually in Aussieland. So i followed his advice, which essentially made the supersprings ineffective in addition I still had contact with the frame in the front but now also in the rear there was contact with the truck bed. I had 3-5" of clearance and the SS still made contact, I wasn't even towing anything! I had taken them off and will not put them on my truck or any other truck ever again period!! DO NOT BUY SUPERSPRINGS! if you need more towing capacity add a leaf, it'll stiffen the ride but you'll be able to use the truck as a truck! BTW thats how trucks are supposed to ride anyway.

some advice would be to chuck those things if you haven't already, spend 300 bucks (canadian money) on a good set of air bags and enjoy your towing. when there's no load, air down and enjoy the normal comfy ride...

i never heard of these things before either so i googled them... SuperSprings - For Work

okay, that link helped alot

seen them called "Helper Springs" before, but never knew who made them

looks like they would be ideal for a leaf pack that has a big arch
