2004 Bed Plate Leak?
Hey guys hopefully someone had good luck with this. My buddy at work has a 04 6.0 the dealer just found the bed plate leaking. The truck has 51,000 on it and he loves the truck. The dealer said they need to remove the cab and engine to make the repair. Obviously he's concerned about everything being removed plus he has the extended warranty but they told him today that's not covered. He also said it's just seeping not dripping or causing a puddle. I told him to run the truck monitor it then unload it. Even though the economy blows right now he should still be able to move the truck but he's not sure what to do. If anyone has been down this road i would appreciate any input. Thanks.

The bedplate leak should be covered under the 5yr/100,000 mile engine warranty for a 100 dollar deductible. If the dealer doesn't know this then run and find another dealer. Or just maybe this dealer is hungry and needs the extra money.
