I was wondering if any one has ever built home made mufflers for there truck, I have built a set for my 390 in my 70 f-100 and they sould great with a great low note at idle speed

I built some a couple years ago for my truck. I designed them after a Flowmaster 40 series and built them out of stainless steel. They sounded great until the baffles inside broke loose. I didn't weld them solid, only spot welded them. Oh well, I learned from that. If I ever build another, I'll weld the baffles solid.
Sounds real fancy to fancy for a red neck like me
the muffers I am talking about are made up of a three inch pipe with several holes drilled in it with a shor length of 5 inch pipe overtop
