Unhappy Transmission Issues

Its been a while since Ive posted in this forum but Ive had really good luck with the old girl. Its an 86 F150 4x4 5.0 fuely with an aod. I had the tranny rebuilt 4 years ago but only have a little under 5000 miles on it. I fired her up saturday morning and went inside to let it warm up 20 minutes later I went to leave and no forward or reverse. I checked the linkage, fine i checked the fluid right to the line, I checked the transfer case, in gear. I just dont understand what could have happened, I drove it a couple days before and everything worked great as usual. Anyone have any ideas on what could have happened?

P.S I put it in gear and got out and could roll it back and forth so I know its coming out of park but still no movement even with a little reving.

Did you pull it down and try all the forward gears?

Is it super cold where you are? The fluid might be a little contaminated and is making the valves stick in the tranny.

I tried all gears and nothin, it was 5 degrees outside but I let it warm up for 20 to 30 minutes before trying to move it and ive never had this problem before.

I guy just gave me a van that he had to let sit and idle in cold weather before it would move, and I drained the oil and changed the filter, and it was pretty nasty. After that, no more problems. Do you have a heated garage you can push it in?

yeah i have a nice heated shop, I was going to shove it in there with the bobcat but the shop is full of vintage snowmobiles right now. I guess ill have to clear a spot and get my truck in there overnight and give it a try.
