Hello all,
My radiator has just busted. I am needing a new one. I have read about getting the HD one for the 5.8. It is around 160 bucks. There is an alluminum one on Ebay for the same price. I have heard that alluminum dissipates heat better. Anybody have any opinions on this? A few years ago I had purchased an alluminum radiator off of Ebay for my girlfriend at the time's Civic. It installed easy and worked flawlessly, and looked kinda good too. I'm thinking about heading this path with the Bronco.
look around local. it might be a tad more but you wont pay shipping and if you encounter problems you have someone to come back to. i found a nice 3core alum a while back for $120 local.
Just grab a phone book and call around. Or, check with a bud. I got mine at Action Auto, a Parts Plus store here. local. These guys have always treated me right. Price wise as well.
Thanks for the advice, but I live out in the middle of BFE. Its over 60 miles to get to a decent sized town. And its not real big on parts stores. Its either Discount or O'reilys mostly.
