Introduction, and wheel question
Just picked up a 30K original mile, '76 F100 2WD Custom, short bed styleside. All original (has bias ply tires!), 300 with 3-on-the-tree, no power anything. Even has radio delete, which I've never seen before. It's straight, rust-free, and all there. Looks like it's going to clean up really nicely.
I want to keep it looking pretty original, but those 6" rims have to go. I'm thinking I can fit 15 x 8s with zero backspacing inside the wells. Can someone confirm this for me? I did the search, but most questions/answers apply to 4WDs, and I don't want the wheels/tires sticking out at all.
I had a '66 F100 with an '88 drivetrain (5.0 with a T-19) in it in the mid - '90s. It's good to be back!
