Just curious how many people watch or listen to Glenn Beck, he was on CNN but got fired or something, not sure exactly what happened.....I guess he was a little to honest....lol. Anyway, he will be returning to FOX January 19th, I cant wait, I loved watching him! I also know theres many that dont like him too much.....
I used to listen to him quite often but the end of the world thing just got WAY too old. I watched his Tv show foo a month or two then it didn't make the cut my DVR and dropped it. Right now he is 2nd - 3rd on my afternoon listening list. I'll watch his show on Fox to see if it is any different from the Headline news show though.
I like listening to hm and really enjoyed his tv show. He left on his own terms from what he says anyway. I'm sure $ played a big part in it and hopefully they will let him speak his mind a little more. He's one of the few talk radio guys that will let people talk regardless of whether or not he agrees with them. I used to like Rush as well but it just got to the point where he would all but hang up on people that didn't go with the "Rush way".
Its good to present a differnt view from what everyone else in the media is presenting. CNN whizzed it down their leg when Glenn left. Its a good move for Fox News.
He makes some really valid points and I enjoyed watching him from time to time.
I'm pretty liberal, but liked to watch him--agreed with some of his comments, disagreed with others. Felt like that "I used to be an alcoholic" stuff got a little bit old mentioning it every show. Hope he's going to be on Fox News cause my cheap-a$$ cable company won't carry Fox Business News.

I agree with the alcoholic thing, he mentions it way too much!
If you haven't read any of his books, then by all means, do so. I just finished "The Christmas Sweater" and thought it was a very good piece of fiction (based on his own life). "An Inconvenient Book" was a typical political book, but with the Beck sense of humor sprinkled throughout. It was a good read and made me laugh outloud several times.
BTW, the mentioning of the alcoholism is simply Glenn's own way of dealing with his disease. Sharing the story is supposed to help others not have to go through the same things... much like "The Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner."
In small doses, he is Ok. The real problem is that he is such a smooth talker, he could talk the Pope into becoming a serial killer.
Don't get mesmerized by this guy, it might be better to read transscripts of his shows, rather than listen. Then u might see his message for what it is...just another entertainment show, and not the gospel truth.
don't let these talk-show guru's brainwash u. their power is scary, their facts are always skewed to promote their agenda's, whether they are pro-this or pro-that. If he indeed is going to Fox, that can only mean one thing, he is pro-conservative, and will try to force more conservative ideas into the gullible publics minds. He is the "friendly" version of Rush Limbaugh, and is usually heard on pro-conservative/republican, radio stations, with Limbaugh, and Sean Hannity.

If you read Glenns transcripts rather than listen to him you would probly think he was a complete screw up. Alot of what he says is very sarcastic and many dont "get it" and take him serious when hes not. I like how he throws some sarcasm and humor into his show, his show was the only one I could watch for a whole hour. I do however beleive he tries to tell the truth alot more than alot of these other guys, It seems people like Hannity want to try and sway you to the right, I dont think Glenn cares what you are, he likes to bring the facts out and prove other people wrong when there wrong. Im a bit conservative so maybe thats why I like him....I dont really like Hannity though, O'Reily is alright....
I tried to listen to him on CNN but in the end I think the booze ruined too many brain cells. I think he is a little to full of himself so I finally got to where I stopped watching him. Fox might be a good place for him though.
