Hey all....'89 F150 5.0....pulled rear tank to replace it....metal necks from fuel pump were rotted, snapped off in process....what would be the recommened proceedure to fix this? Do they make kits to fix fuel line breaks? If so,I figure I'll cut the lines, bring them in the house, figure out how to get the rotted pieces out of the connectors, patch the lines and be done with it. If not, how would you? BTW, it's going to be zero or below here for the better part of the week, I can only work on it at night, it's outside, I have a broken rib, a bad back, worse knees, and there's two feet of snow on the ground , so I kinda would like to get this thing finished. Any and all help would be appreciated.
Oh, and the side tank doesn't work, else I'd just run it off of that and wait for good weather. Sorry if the answers are obvious, I've never worked on a fuel system for an injected engine.
