As far as I know it wasn't on ebay. I found it local to me in an ad. I don't think I would have won it for $300 if it was on ebay.
Just looked at the one you're probably talking about. Allready more money, with more rust (there is only surface rust on mine) and mine is far more complete.
Finished at $410.

Reason: addendum
I filled mine with Bondo and later used a wire brush on a little hand grinder
to smooth 'em up so the Super DynaMat would go over those dips easier.
When it was working out so good I was thinking it was so slick I wanted to
share the idea but had no idea who might be interested in such a silly thing.
LOL :)
That cab floor looks like mine did (white and all) except mine's got the
removable transmission cover.
All I can say is you guys must be -really dedicated- to old clunkers to put
up with all that dangged rust back there.
My hat's off to ya. :)

ps- Heck, I put ~$320 of Super Dynamat in my cab, dash and doors.
the market seems to be drying up here. these trucks are getting so rare that theres not really any demand for the parts. i've got one of 2 highboys i know of near mon city. other than that, theres a few 78-79s floating around, and not much else i know of.
Last May I bought my 79 F-100 sb from Calif. because it had no rust. Paid $500 and cost $1000 to ship to ILL. but was worth it. It's weird because everytime I remove a bolt or nut it comes off with ease and still has the gold finish on them. My other rust bucket I was constantly breaking bolts..

mon city meaning monroeville or monongahela (wash. county).
Just for fun... what modifications are needed to put a bump-side cab
on a regular (non-highboy?) dent-side frame or the other way around?
What about the beds?
I guess the question is... how much did they change the frame and its
support points between dent-sides and bump sides?

Totally hazardous guess, but those cabs look only slightly different to me. Just a guess but I'd say they're very similar, and would come real close to bolting on.
Moot for me up here in MI. I don't ever consider a bumpside for purchase.
My main reason?
Rust! The dentsides seemed to rust out the worst and quickest of all vintage Ford trucks. I don't think I could keep one for more then 5 yrs up here if I used it in winter. Which I would do.
I have a rust free cab and doors to. Not as clean looking as yours but rust free. Bottom of the doors look like yours. What is a good price for a cab and doors. Zero rust. Don't care about making a killing off someone, just a fair price for me and the other guy. Money is to hard to try to save these days but good parts are hard to find to.
