I did a quick net search and the best I could come up with is this thermactor air system has something to do with the smog pump, and its "plumbing". I didn't find anything specific to 1992 F-series.
I would start there, otherwise call the dealer, maybe they can fill you in on the particulars of the system.
There are 3 vacuum valves on the driver's side of the engine by the coil. 1 is Egr, and the other 2 for the thermactor air system. Check to make sure you did not break any vacuum lines, especially the hard plastic ones.

i have checked those but there is one vac line on the pass. side that is orange that was broken by the po and i can't figure out where it goes.
I believe the orange line goes to the diverter valves for the thermactor system. You shouldnt get an error for thermactor unless one of the electric vacuum valves is unplugged from the wiring harness or a broken wire leading to that valve.
