I'm having some issues with 9.75

I bought new parts and all new bearings and axles, I then disassemble the truck and start putting putting it all back together come to find out that the old axles and shot. This is were I start having problems, the axles are larger then the old ones about .050" larger I cant get the bearings to fit on them not even the old bearings. I can only get them to slip half way down the axle. The axles seam to be the same length.
Truck is a 2000 f 150 with 5.4 9.75 rear

Ever considered an axle from a junk yard? It would be much easier and faster. Sounds like they gave you the wrong axle shafts. Is that measurement done by calipers?

The old axle is 1.620 at the bearing and the new one is 1.705 at the bearing. I can't find a part number on the old axle.

Yep, I forget exactly when ford changed the outer bearings size, but I believe it was in mid-2000. Any axle from 97-99 should fit fine.

Did the axle tube stay the same? could I get a different year bearing?

Im not exactly sure. Go to your local autoparts store and buy two bearings for like an '02 9.75. Dont install them into the housing until you are sure they will work, once installed it is very hard to remove them without damaging them.

Let us know what you figure out.
