Heated seats not working
Heated seats both sides have quit working. Light on both switches does work, but absolutely no heat in the seats. No heat in the seat or in the lower part of the back.
Checked both the 30amp fuse in the engine compartment and the 15amp fuse in the inside fusebox. Both are ok. Checked the visible connections and wires under the seats. All seems fine.
I Have searched the forums and found that there can be issues with broken wires between the elements in the seat. But I suspect there is another reason since both sides stopped working at the same time, and the passenger side is nearly not used at all.
Kind of mystery to me. Light on switch works, but no heat???

If they both light up and the fuses are good, it may just be a coincidence, especially if the passenger side rarely gets used. I did a search as well a while ago since my driver's side quit working and it ended up being a burned wie.

I suspect a bad relay.
If you have a wiring diagram, check to see if the seat circuit has a relay in it. For both to go bad at the same time and all indications are GO, I suspect a relay. If so just swap with one of the other relays to see if they work.

How hard is it to replaced the burned wire....I think that is what is wrong with mine.....someone had sent me a link with a write up on how to do it....but i cant find it anymore

HAHA.....here you go.....I need to do mine.....might go out and do it today, as i use my X to plow and we have been getting a ton of snow and i have pretty much been living in mine and getting the seat working would be nice!! hope this helps!

It's pretty easy. I think it took me about 20 minutes. The wires are too small though so that makes it kind of a pain.

That was the problem with mine! Burnt wire! I cant beleive there is not a recall on this......what a fire danger! Nice hole and burn where it was bad!
