My 2008 F250 will show the gain and output from the integrated brake controller on the message center above the steering wheel in addition to on the display on the controller itself. It only shows up as an option on the message center as you scroll through the message center when you have a trailer hooked up that has electric brakes. It's not there when no trailer brakes are present. It just goes from Trip A, Trip B, miles to empty, Ave MPG. But when it does show up, it says: Gain=0.0, Output= . It never shows what the gain is set at or what, if any, the output is. It seems as if you are supposed to be able to see what your controller is doing without having to glance down at the controller itself. But it doesn't seem to be working or even programmed to work. I took by a dealer and they said they'd never even seen the display of the controller on the message center before and didn't know what to do. They said a few weeks ago they would look into it but no response thus far. Anybody know anything about this? It's not real essential, but it seems like it's supposed to show controller status in the messege center but doesn't do it.

 

mine shows as your does. The message center I believe is only a diagnostic info center for us users in case you want to check general systems to see if there is a issue.

The real deal is the TBC display, so if it shows your trailer is hooked up when it is and gain you are good!

 

Glad to hear someone else has a similar message. But if it is for diagnostic purposes, then how does it help? It always says Output= nothing and Gain=0.0. Any thoughts?
