460 Exhaust manifold

According to my local shop these manifolds don't use donuts anymore and so the only way to fix it is to replace my Y pipe. They quoted me $300.00 to fix it.
I have tried using the sealers but I can't get anything to stay up there longer than a couple of days.
Any more ideas?
