Should I......?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-Nov-02 AT 11:00 PM (EST)]should i put a 1 chambered flowmaster on my ranger(4.0).i want the deepest tone as possible and i want people to hear me coming as well. will my decent sized 6 give me that? right now i have a thrush glasspack and it sounds like a giant bumble bee that is really pissed, but it is not as bad as a ricer.

I've read on another Ford truck site (yup this site is better) that the 4.0 sounds good (close to V8 rumble) when paired with a Flowmaster 40 Original. I doubt that the single chamber flowmaster will give you the deep tone that you are seeking...I'm sure it will be very loud!!! Also you can go to www.exhaustsoundclips.com (seebeew's site) and check out what he has there...I think there's a few sound clips of the 4.0. Anyway... good luck with whatever setup you choose to go with.

This is exactly what I want to know too. If anyone could share their experiences I would really appreciate it. I want to scrap my factory exhaust for something loud and something that rumbles like thunder. But of course, with the V6 that can be difficult. Again..any suggestions, experiences, or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
