another cat question...LOL sorry

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 26-Nov-02 AT 06:08 PM (EST)]I just wanted to know, if i replaced my second cat (91 f150 w/ 302) with a catco highflow, and had a flowmaster dual exhaust put on, would i still pass emissions all ok? OR if i was thinkin bout just gettin rid of both the stock cats and just replace it with one new high flow cat, get the flowmaster, and install some shorty headers or also just cut my second cat off and keep the stock first cat. Would i still pass with this setup? Any help would be greatly appreciated as i will hopefully be doing this soon. Thanks!

another cat question...LOL sorry

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 26-Nov-02 AT 08:16 PM (EST)]In some places you would pass, in some you wouldn't. I would check with the referee station. According to federal law it is illegal to move the cat from its origional position. What does your emission test consist of? Do they do a visual check too?

You can just replace that front cat with a y-pipe and then the second cat with a high flow cat (heard emico's are good...bassani too) and you will be ok emissions-wise from there. Then put a flowmaster 40 and whatever tailpipe you want and it'll rumble pretty good.
